Description
The gasoline engine-only Toyota RAV4 has one powertrain configuration and it is a familiar one. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder generates 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic. Power is routed to the front wheels or one of two available all-wheel drive systems ($1,400), depending on trim level. The Adventure and TRD Off-Road feature all-wheel drive as standard and an upgraded rear differential that can distribute torque laterally.
The RAV4 earns an EPA-estimated 30 miles per gallon combined in front-wheel guise and 29 mpg with all-wheel drive. The Adventure and TRD models return 28 mpg with their greater focus on all-terrain traction.
The LE trim features an eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and a Wi-Fi Hot Spot. Remote connectivity is included on the XLE and up trims while the TRD and Limited trims feature a 10.25-inch display that is optional on other trims. The Limited trim is equipped with an upgraded sound system.
