Description
Engine Choices
The Accord is only available with one engine. The midsize sedan comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque.
This engine is basically the same one found in the previous-gen Accord. The engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Unlike some midsize sedans in the segment, the Accord is only available with front-wheel drive.
When it comes to fuel economy, the Accord is rated at up to 29 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway, and 32 mpg combined. These represent small decreases compared to the outgoing model.
For better fuel economy, the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid may be a smart upgrade. It gets up to 48 mpg in overall driving on some trims.
Safety Features
The base LX trim comes with Honda Sensing as standard equipment. The suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam assist, blind spot monitoring, and traffic sign recognition. Traffic Jam Assist is also standard on the Accord and handles most of the driving at speeds of up to 45 mph.
Moving up to the EX trim brings blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
Connectivity
Honda offers the Accord with a standard seven-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Other standard features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, four audio speakers, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and two front USB-C ports. The EX trim gets eight audio speakers.
